A 12 HOUR, 2 DAY BABYSITTER TRAINING COURSE FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 6 AND HIGHER
June 28 & June 29, 2021
Purpose
The goal of this program is to educate students in Grades 6 and higher in childcare safety, First Aid, CPR and babysitting responsibilities. This course will provide the tools to become a confident, reliable, and trustworthy babysitter.
Course Details
This course will focus on the responsibilities of a babysitter, growth and development of a child, and toy safety. Students will complete and become certified in the American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid course, including management of choking emergencies.
We’ll be practicing basic childcare, including diapering and feeding. [Please borrow a doll to bring to this class]. Students will learn and become certified in the American Heart Association CPR and AED training course as part of Bootcamp training.
- Students must attend both days; those who do will receive certification cards for First Aid, CPR and Babysitter Training.
- All resource materials are included.
- Snacks will be provided. Pack a healthy lunch each day.
